Free Black History Month Event to be held at Black River Technical College February 27th at 11am


Brian Rodgers, Adult Education Interpretive Specialist for the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, Arkansas's Museum, will present "What's in the Pot?" Thursday, February 27 at 11am in the Randolph County Development Center on the Pocahontas campus of BRTC in celebration of Black History Month.

This will be an engaging and flavorful program that explores the rich history and cultural significance of soul food within the African American community. Participants will learn about the origins and evolution of soul food, its deep ties to African Heritage, and its role in fostering connection and tradition across generations.

This event combines storytelling, history, and food in an opportunity to celebrate the legacy of African American culinary traditions while fostering community and understanding.
