Kids Citizen Science Club - Kids will find out how they can gather data and help real scientists around the world with their own observations. This month we will feature three citizen science initiatives that are fun, easy, and help us all learn more about the world we live in. This program is for grades K through 6. Adult Sketchbook Night - This dedicated, laid-back hour provides adults with an opportunity to connect with other artists and work on improving their art skills. Participants are welcome to bring their own materials or use those provided by the library. Registration is not required.

Plant Swap - The Craighead County Master Gardeners will be partnering with University of Arkansas’s Division of Agriculture by hosting a plant swap. Visitors may bring seeds and plants to trade or give away to other garden enthusiasts. The event is free, and registration is not required.

Free Family Reading Event - The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library, in partnership with Arkansas PBS, will host a free family reading event. This event is open to the public and will include a meal and story time featuring the book Potatoe Pants! followed by a discussion and themed activity. The CCJPL Bookmobile will be present during the event on the Madison St. side of the library. Registration is not required.

Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library Announces 2025 Concert Series 

(Jonesboro, AR) The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is excited to announce the return of its Concert Series in 2025. The library will host three live performances throughout the year, offering free entertainment for the community.

The first concert will feature Jubilation Jazz band on Thursday, May 22, at 6 p.m. “We are thrilled to be a part of the Jonesboro Public Library Concert Series!” Wally Fowler, manager of the band said. “We can’t wait to share our wide variety of different styles of music. It’s an honor to bring our love of traditional jazz, with a twist, to a setting that celebrates music, connection, and local culture.” For more information about the concert series, visit the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library's website and follow its social media pages for updates.
