The West End Neighborhood Association will host its 3rd Annual Weird Tales in the West End at the Birdsong Community Garden at the corner of Washington Avenue and Olive Street on Saturday, October 26 from 6-8pm. This family-friendly event is free of charge and open to the public. A-State folklorist, Dr. Gregory Hansen, will begin the evening by sharing unusual stories from Arkansas.

The event features stories that tellers will share with the audience and will include time for participants to engage in a story swap. Visitors are invited to bring their own tales to perform with members of the neighborhood association. Costumes are encouraged but not required and candy will be available for early trick-or-treating.

The West End Neighborhood Association (WENA) is a nonprofit organization that fosters safety and community engagement through a number of projects. Along with sponsoring events such as a yearly neighborhood clean-up day, garden tours, and a holiday decorating contest and cookie-swap, the organization also offers education activities at its community garden and City Water and Light Park.
